About JD Farms Specialty Turkey

JD Farms has raised turkeys in the Fraser Valley for more than 30 years. Jack and Debbie Froese founded the farm, and their children Jason, Marilyn and Jennifer now run the farm and its store at the corner of 248th Street and 52nd Avenue in Langley. The birds are raised without antibiotics or animal by-products on a diet of grain, vitamins and minerals.

The Deli & Market sells fresh and frozen turkey along with house-made turkey sausages, kebabs, soups, lasagnas, ready-made meals and artisan deli cuts. Fresh whole turkeys are sold in store, and since online ordering has ended, a visit is the way to stock up for a holiday dinner. A free Turkey Club card gives discounts, members-only specials and advance notice of farm events.

The bistro cooks from the same kitchen, with soups, sandwiches, turkey lasagna and pot pie, and you can eat inside or on the patio. The store opens every day, so it works as a lunch stop on any farm drive through south Langley.

Full Bloom Lavender Farm is about 10 minutes away and Tuscan Farm Gardens about 15 minutes northeast, so lunch on the patio fits neatly between lavender visits in summer.
