About Kensington Prairie Farm

Kensington Prairie Farm is a family-run alpaca farm and boutique on 248th Street in Aldergrove, in the south end of Langley. Besides its alpaca herd, the farm keeps llamas, camels, donkeys, emus, pigs, turkeys, ducks, chickens, bunnies and cats, so a short visit covers a lot of animals.

The farm opens Friday to Sunday. General admission ($7.50, kids 5 and under free, 2026) includes an alpaca information session and a look at the farm animals, with no booking needed. To feed and pet the alpacas, book one of the paid experiences ahead: a 30-minute guided farm tour ($25 a person), an alpaca walk where you feed and lead your own alpaca ($105 per alpaca, two people max), or a meet and greet in the pen ($200 for up to five guests). The farm also runs alpaca yoga and children's birthday parties.

The boutique sells alpaca socks, scarves, shawls, slippers, blankets, throws, rugs, hides and yarn, plus clothing for women, men and children, plush animals and farm-fresh eggs. On December 5 and 6, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Alpacas & Artisan Holiday Market brings 20 or more local vendors, hourly information sessions and visits with Santa. Coffee and tea are offered by donation to the farm's rescue program.

Full Bloom Lavender Farm is about 10 minutes away, so a summer weekend can include both the alpacas and the lavender.
