About Township 7 Vineyards & Winery
Township 7 started making wine in 2000 in the old Township 7 area of Langley, and its South Langley winery still sits at 16th Avenue and 212th Street in the Fraser Valley. The vines here are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, grown for the winery's seven stars sparkling wines. The company also makes still whites and reds in its Provenance and Benchmark series.
The tasting room is open every day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The standard tasting is a guided flight of five one-ounce pours from the Provenance, Benchmark and seven stars wines for $15 per person, plus taxes. Sabre and Sip costs $30 per person plus the bottle you choose. It starts with a welcome glass of sparkling wine and a talk on the winery's history, then a four-wine sparkling flight and a sabrage demonstration, and guests can try opening a bottle with a saber themselves. That one needs a reservation and at least two guests.
Reservations are strongly recommended for all tastings, and drop-ins are taken as space allows. Visits are planned around a 60-minute stay, and the Langley room books groups of up to 20. Wine is served only to guests 19 and older. The winery also hosts vineyard tours and winemaker dinners, listed on its events calendar.
Full Bloom Lavender Farm is about 10 minutes east on the same South Langley hillsides, so a summer lavender visit and a sparkling flight fit easily into one outing.
