About Tabor Hill Winery & Restaurant
Tabor Hill has been making wine in the hills of Berrien County for more than 50 years, which makes it one of the long-standing names in the Lake Michigan Shore wine region. The winery and its restaurant sit together on Mt. Tabor Road, with windows and tables facing the vineyard. It is a sister property of Round Barn in nearby Baroda.
The tasting room offers one format: a one-hour tasting of five wines for $25, and you keep the stemless glass. Tastings are first come, first served with no reservations, and the staff asks that you arrive at least an hour before closing. The tasting room is open five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday.
The restaurant is a big part of a visit. Head Chef Justin Carlisle writes a seasonal, farm-to-table menu built on local ingredients and meant to go with Michigan wine, and the dining room is open Thursday through Sunday from noon. Reservations are taken online. Through late fall 2026 the winery scheduled small ticketed evenings: a holiday edition of The Pairing Room on November 7, where a sommelier pairs four wines with small plates, and communal Farm to Tabor dinners with guest chefs on December 5 and December 19. Seating for these is limited, so book early. The property also hosts weddings.
Lavender Bliss Flower Farm in Bridgman is about 15 minutes northwest. A June or July day can start with cutting lavender there and end with a late lunch or dinner looking over the Tabor Hill vines.
