About Hart Tree Farm

Hart Tree Farm is a family-owned Christmas tree farm spread over about 120 acres outside Rockford. It is a simple, old-style tree lot: you can walk the rows to choose and cut your own tree, or pick from trees that are already cut.

Alongside the trees, the farm sells wreaths, greens and garland for decorating, so it can cover the whole house in one stop. Payment is cash or check only, so bring one or the other.

A December tree trip combines well with downtown Rockford, where the riverfront shops and cafés along Bridge Street and Main Street are a short drive away. Great Lakes Lavender Farm is also in the Rockford area; it isn't open for farm visits, but its lavender gifts are sold through its website if you are shopping for the holidays.
