About Heritage Barn

Heritage Barn is a self-serve farm shop on Hope River Road in Chilliwack. Instead of a staffed counter, the barn holds temperature-controlled lockers stocked with fresh flowers, seasonal produce, eggs, dairy and baked treats, and you pay at a touch-screen kiosk on your way out. Flowers grown on site and local meats have also been part of the selection.

Because there is no one to wait for, the barn keeps long hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day. That makes it handy for an early start or a late drive home, when most farm stands in the area have closed. What is in the lockers changes with the season.

There is also an espresso and coffee bar, so you can pick up a drink with a pastry and an armful of flowers. The kiosk takes credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express. It is a quick stop rather than a place to linger, best for stocking a cooler with eggs, dairy and baking for the rest of the day.

Loveleigh Lavender Farm is about 10 minutes away by car, so you can stop at the barn for coffee and picnic food before a summer lavender visit.
