About Les Couleurs de la terre

Les Couleurs de la terre is a potato farm on the Grande Rivière Nord road run by Guy Fradette and Patricia Claveau with their six children and a team of staff. Potatoes of several varieties are the base of everything here, along with fruit and vegetables that are cooked, processed and sold on site. The farm's poutine is what most people come for.

The farm restaurant and grounds are open Thursday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., from May 7 to November 1, 2026. The kitchen follows the garden: asparagus early in the season, then radishes, tomatoes, cucumbers and edible flowers, ending with squash. A monthly poutine features other local producers, and there are fries, quiches and chips. Seating for more than 100 is spread over a covered terrace, a heated and air-conditioned dining room, a yurt and picnic tables.

After eating, families can wander the gardens and orchards, visit pigs, goats, rabbits, donkeys, calves and poultry, use the play areas, read in the book corner, rest in hammocks or walk in the forest. Guided farm tours run Fridays at 2 p.m. from mid-June to mid-September. To stay over, there is a farm guesthouse for five and three yurts sleeping five to ten. School groups and private events are welcome.

Passion Lavande in Saint-Sévère is about 15 minutes away, so poutine at the farm pairs well with the lavender fields on the same day.
