About Les Jardins de Lavande Arômes et Saveurs

Les Jardins Arômes & Saveurs grows lavender and culinary herbs on rang Pied de la Montagne in Sainte-Mélanie, in Lanaudière. The founders took the idea home from a summer in Provence and built the gardens with local artisans, tradespeople and beekeepers. The lavender and herbs are grown without herbicides or pesticides and harvested by hand, and the lavender is edible.

The grounds include lavender fields, a country-style barn shop and a chicken coop. Trails wind through the woods and change with the seasons, past a fairy tree where visitors leave wishes and a stream for a quiet pause. In 2026, country picnics in the lavender, with a menu created with Auberge Ma Maison from the gardens' own products, were offered from June 3, booked ahead online.

The gardens also run pick-your-own lavender, yoga, workshops and concerts, with dates posted on their website each season. In past winters the gardens have hosted Les Jardins en lumière, a lantern-lit walk with hot chocolate and Christmas trees. The barn shop sells lavender aromas, culinary herbs and lavender, honey and gift sets, and ships within Canada.

Brasserie Albion in Sainte-Mélanie is about 10 minutes away for lunch.
