About Choco Chocolat
Choco Chocolat has been making chocolate on boulevard Manseau in Joliette since 2007, and it describes itself as both a chocolaterie and an artisan creamery. Everything is made by hand in the workshop behind the counter, using good chocolate and, often, local ingredients. The range mixes classic recipes with new pieces inspired by a product, a color or an occasion.
Depending on the season you will find fine chocolates, chocolate bars and confections, cakes, Halloween chocolates in the fall, Advent calendars before Christmas, and gift boxes year-round. The creamery side makes its own gelato and sorbet. The shop also runs chocolate-making workshops and offers a birthday party package for children, which makes it a good rainy-day stop with kids.
Fall 2026 hours for the chocolate shop are Monday to Wednesday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Thursday until 9 p.m., Friday until 10 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The creamery opens at noon on the same days and closes for the season on October 31. Both were closed on Thanksgiving Monday, October 12. Sunday hours are not listed, so call ahead for a weekend visit.
Les Jardins de Lavande Arômes et Saveurs in Sainte-Mélanie is about 15 minutes north, so a gelato or a box of chocolates here pairs well with a summer afternoon in the lavender gardens.
