About Slabtown Cider Co.
Slabtown Cider Co. is a family-owned cidery and orchard founded in 2017 just south of Uxbridge, on the Oak Ridges Moraine among forest, trails and rolling fields. The family is reviving more than 90 acres of historic orchard land, which they describe as one of the country's largest collections of heritage and heirloom cider apples. The name honors Randallville, an 1870 sawmill hamlet in nearby Siloam nicknamed Slab Town for the piles of wood slabs around its mill.
Ciders are made from 100% Ontario apples. All of them are gluten-free, and all but the Honey Habanero, which uses local honey, are vegan. Flavors have included Founder's Dry, Mint Cucumber, Ginger Spritz and a seasonal Pumpkin Spice, and the farm store sells cider and beer to take home.
The eatery serves a full menu, and the patio stays open all year, shaded in summer and warmed by heaters and fire tables in winter. Live music fills weekend afternoons; the October 2026 lineup runs Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 5, plus a Friday evening show on October 30. Leashed dogs are welcome on the patio and lawn but not in the eatery or farm store.
Christel Lake Lavender in Greenbank is about 15 minutes north, so a summer lavender visit and a late lunch on the Slabtown patio pair well.
