About Willowtree Farm
Willowtree Farm has been run by the McKay family since 1969, and several generations have worked the land on Durham Regional Road 21 outside Port Perry. The farm market is open every day of the year except Christmas and New Year's Day, with seasonal produce, pantry staples, a butcher counter with specialty cuts and freezer packs, and a weekly CSA share delivered to your door.
The bakery turns out pies such as strawberry rhubarb, apple crumble, blueberry and bumbleberry, plus butter tarts, cookies and fresh loaves, and apple cider donuts on weekends. The café serves breakfast wraps, sandwiches, soup, salads and flatbreads until 3 p.m., with indoor and outdoor seating and some gluten-free choices. The strawberry field opens for pick-your-own in season, with 1.5-litre baskets at $9.50 and 3-litre baskets at $18.
Families can use the playground free of charge. Opened in 2022, it has slides, climbing walls, monkey bars, a sandbox and a sensory corn pit, next to the farm animals. Pumpkin Palooza runs weekends from October 3 to 25, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a wagon ride, corn maze, straw jump, Spooky Story Forest walk and pumpkin patch. Other events include an Easter egg hunt, a customer corn roast, live music on Sundays and Adventures with Santa.
Christel Lake Lavender in Greenbank is about 10 minutes northwest. In summer, visit the lavender fields and then stop at Willowtree for lunch and a pie to take home.
