About Tantré Farm HoneyBee U-Pick

HoneyBee U-Pick is the berry field of Tantré Farm, a Chelsea vegetable farm, set on 161 acres at the corner of Scio Church and Zeeb roads west of Ann Arbor. Scio Township's land preservation program protected the property in 2019, and the farm opened U-pick here in 2021, naming it for the honey bee hives that pollinate the field. A new timber frame barn went up in 2020 and 2021. The farm does not spray its plants with chemicals and follows organic practices, though the field is not certified.

Raspberries are the main crop, with an early flush in July and a heavier fall crop from late August through September, and strawberries have been offered in some years. Picking depends on the season: the raspberry page says there is no raspberry U-pick this year, so check their website before planning around it. Through late summer and fall a farm stand runs on Saturday mornings from 8 to noon, with pre-picked berries when available, along with pumpkins in October.

The biggest day of the year is the free HoneyBee Nut Festival, held for the sixth time on October 11, 2026, with nut and pollinator walks, a black walnut processing demonstration, live birds of prey, a bonfire, apple pressing and pumpkin carving. Leashed, well-behaved dogs were welcome at the festival.

Plainly Elegant Lavender is about 4 miles west, so a July berry stop here fits neatly with cutting lavender bundles there.
