About Cidrerie Lacroix

The Lacroix family has grown and processed apples in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac since 1879. The orchard has more than 7,000 trees in 20 varieties, and everything in the cider house is made from Quebec apples. Signature bottles include Élisabeth, a still dry cider from Lobo and McIntosh, and Anne, a sparkling apple-raspberry blend. The orchard uses integrated fruit production to limit spraying, and it is not certified organic.

Picking runs from mid-August to late October, daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In 2026, orchard access was $4 for ages 8 and up, children under 8 were free, and you fill a reusable Lacroix bag: $16 for 10 pounds, $28 for 20, or an $8 children's bag. McIntosh, Empire and Cortland are among the picking apples; Honeycrisp and Spartan are sold in the shop. The orchard trails are now open year-round.

The bistro serves farm-to-table food made with orchard and local products, open year-round, closed Monday and Tuesday; book a table online. Cider tastings are offered daily on request. The shop sells more than 50 apple products, and the site also hosts weddings and corporate events. Pets aren't allowed, though service dogs are welcome, and outside picnics and personal alcohol aren't permitted.

La Maison Lavande in Saint-Eustache is about 15 minutes east, so it's easy to pair a summer lavender visit with an August apple-picking stop here.
