About Campbell's Orchards

Campbell's Orchards has been a family farm market and bakery on County Road 3 in Prince Edward County since 1967. The farm follows the year closely: maple in late winter from Murray's Sugarbush, added in 2019, apple blossoms in May, strawberries in June, and apples, tomatoes and pumpkins through the fall.

Pick-your-own starts in late August. In 2026 the orchard offered Empire, Royal Gala, McIntosh, Cortland, Crimson Crisp and Honeycrisp for picking, and field beefsteak, San Marzano and cherry tomatoes from August into October. Ginger Gold apples arrive in mid-August, McIntosh and Cortland in September, and Empire, Gala, Ida Red and Ambrosia in October; the market also stocks about 15 varieties to bag yourself, plus Bartlett and Flemish Beauty pears. The pumpkin patch opens in mid-September, and Colin's corn maze runs alongside it. Last entry for picking and the maze is 4 pm.

On fall weekends from 11 am to 3 pm there is a barbecue, wagon rides and a Farm Fun Pass, running until November 1. The bakery turns out apple fritters and fritter loaves, along with pies, apple crisp, butter tarts and cookies, and the kitchen makes sandwiches to order until 3 pm. In March the farm holds Maple Walk and Talks and weekend pancake breakfasts.

Prince Edward County Lavender in Hillier is about 5 miles away, roughly 10 minutes, so a summer lavender visit and a fritter stop fit easily into one morning.
