About Prince Edward County Lavender
Prince Edward County Lavender grows, distills and crafts lavender on Closson Road in Hillier, in the west end of the County, about two hours from Toronto. The farm grows many lavender cultivars, some chosen for the quality of their essential oil and others for cooking or crafts, in an herbicide- and pesticide-free setting. Besides the lavender fields, there is a knot garden and other flower beds, and the farm has added a line of fine herbs over the years.
The farm opens to visitors during bloom, from mid-June until the end of July, with peak flowering from late June through July. Admission is posted at $8 per person at the gate, and children 12 and under are free. Outside the bloom season, the boutique is open by appointment, and orders can be placed online.
The annual Lavender Festival in 2026 ran on two weekends, July 4-5 and July 11-12, with food, live music and children's activities. Festival tickets were $12.50 at the gate in 2026, children 12 and under were free, and pets were not allowed. The farm makes its own essential oils and hydrosols, and the boutique sells bar and liquid soaps, deodorant, lip balm, lavender-infused honey, herbal teas and herbes de Provence. Three bed-and-breakfast rooms on the farm let visitors stay right by the fields.
Closson Chase Vineyards is just down Closson Road, and Bloomfield and Picton are a short drive east.
