About Wild Lot Farm Distillery
Wild Lot is a farm distillery on a 35-acre property in Sophiasburgh, north of Picton in Prince Edward County. Ryan Fowler and Taylor McIndless left corporate jobs in Toronto, moved to the farm in October 2020 and opened to the public on June 10, 2023. A century-old dairy barn and a restored tractor shed, about 5,000 square feet together, now hold the production space, tap room, shop, restaurant and event space.
They make small-batch vodka, gin, liqueurs and whisky from Canadian grains, plus strong ready-to-drink canned cocktails mixed with fresh-pressed juice from Canadian farms and orchards. In the tap room you can order a spirits flight of any six, half an ounce each, a cocktail or martini flight, or a hard seltzer flight. It's an active production site, so there are no formal distillery tours.
The kitchen runs all year, with a spring and summer menu from May to October and a fall and winter menu from November to April. Gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free and vegetarian dishes are on it, and bar snacks are served when the kitchen is closed. You order at the bar and food comes to your table. Indoor and outdoor seating is usually available, and well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome inside and out. The barn also hosts weddings and private events.
Violet Hill Lavender is also near Picton, about 15 minutes away, and Prince Edward County Lavender in Hillier is roughly half an hour west, so a summer lavender morning and a late lunch here fit together.
