About Kinsip House of Fine Spirits

Kinsip House of Fine Spirits is a family-run farm distillery on Gilead Road just outside Bloomfield, and it calls itself the only grain-to-glass distillery in Prince Edward County: grain grown on the farm is milled, fermented, distilled and barrel-aged on site. Maria welcomes guests at the farm and holds a spirits certification, drawing on her family's generations of making apricot eau-de-vie in Bulgaria, while Michael leads the distilling team.

The lineup runs from Juniper's Wit Old Tom and Dry gins to Cooper's Revival Canadian rye whisky, a maple whisky, County Cassis and other liqueurs, along with handcrafted bitters and barrel-aged maple syrup. From May through October, the tasting patio is the main draw: a seated tasting of three spirits of your choice plus a sample cocktail, priced at $16 per person on their website in 2026.

The farm shop sells bottles, bitters, syrup, barware and gift sets, and is open daily. The shop does not list food service or a kids policy, so treat it as a short tasting stop rather than a meal. Their bottles also turn up in about 100 provincial liquor stores across Ontario, but some items are easiest to find at the farm.

Prince Edward County Lavender, on Closson Road in Hillier, is about 15 minutes west by county roads. In late June and July, a morning in the lavender rows followed by an afternoon tasting on the Kinsip patio makes an easy half-day loop.
